Careers

Davies Pearson is constantly looking for bright, energetic, talented and creative people to join our firm. We have a sophisticated practice serving the legal needs of prominent businesses, individuals and institutions throughout the Pacific Northwest. We offer a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and a professional work environment.

    Attorney Recruiting

An essential element in making Davies Pearson a successful firm is the quality and dedication of the attorneys and staff. We look for individuals who will enrich our work environment and enhance our commitment to serving our clients and establishing exceptional client relationships. We recognize that our attorneys and staff are our greatest assets, and we emphasize the importance of teamwork and open communication in creating an environment that supports our varied strengths and interests. There are no attorney recruiting opportunities at this time.

    Internships

Davies Pearson is always interested in receiving applications from third-year law students who desire to join our firm. We look for people with a demonstrated record of academic excellence, strong research and writing skills, an entrepreneurial spirit and a genuine commitment to client service.

Our intern program is designed to provide law students an opportunity to learn about practicing law and about our firm, and to refine their practice interests.

This is not a summer intern program. Our intern program is year-round and requires a one-year commitment.

We make every effort to provide our interns with realistic experiences in the many areas of law in which we practice. When possible, we arrange for our law clerks to be admitted to practice under Washington’s limited practice rule; and, with client permission, provide them with opportunities to appear in court or in arbitrations on behalf of our clients.

Our goal is to provide each intern with a positive and enjoyable experience with our firm. For each intern, we appoint a mentor attorney who is responsible for supervising the intern’s legal work and ensuring that the intern becomes acquainted with all of the attorneys in the firm.

We constructively evaluate each intern’s performance at mid-internship, and again at the end of their internship, with a view toward improving the intern’s practice skills and enhancing the transition into their legal career. We also encourage our attorneys to provide the interns with meaningful review of their work on a project by project basis.

We involve our interns in the social fabric of our firm and provide them with opportunities to enjoy the many benefits of living and working in Washington while they are with us.

If you believe you fit that profile and are interested in discussing the possibility of a position with our firm, please submit cover letter, resume, writing sample and references to Thomas L. Dashiell.
